The Harbourside Kitchen crew went on a tour of the RabbitTown Community Garden on Graves St. today, Saturday April 7th. (Here's the Facebook page for the Community Garden Alliance.) This community garden is open to anyone from the public interested in gardening, local food, and food security and sustainable living. The garden is not plot-based, rather everyone comes together to offer their time and energy gardening the various raised beds, berry bushes, and herb patches. Come harvest time, the food is divvied up equally. Also, an upcoming event of interest mentioned during the tour of the garden is the FEASt Fest set for April14, 11 am - 3 pm.
